I have to thank Russell Deasly for his wonderful Caturday posts of Top 10 cats – the two I reblogged – wow, I am learning how to do more things on this blog – he finds the most interesting and hilarious photos for his blog.
I have realized I have to go downstairs and find my 4 x 5 photos and scan them so I can put up pictures of my two cats and also my Mom’s cat Josephine. I took them before they had digital cameras – way in the dark ages to some. I do have a photo of Subaru, my close friend Kathie’s cat Subaru. He is rather an enigma to me because I have hardly seen him when I visit her – he spends most of his time sleeping under the covers in her bed. So one of these days, we will meet face to face – naturally when he is ready.
Kathie found him inside a car engine when he was just a tiny kitten, I suspect that is where he acquired his name. She really wasn’t looking for a cat but he had her at Meow. He has turned out to be a most remarkable car – he has the ability to send messages to me and always knows when I call or emails. Kathie says he jumps up in her lap when we are talking or emailing. He has also helped me a lot – now I know this sounds like woo woo stuff, but it is true. She sent me an email with three pictures of him – he is quite something! In the email, she wrote this:
I asked Subaru to help me with a healing for you and it was like he was waiting to be invited. He, in my mind’s eye, immediately somehow ended up around your neck, twirled like a sleeping contented kitty, (a neck muffler) started purring and put his cute little nose right at your throat and whispered …. “courage”. So that is the message from him. Speak out, find your courage, you are loved.
Kathie was having trouble in the beginning understanding what Subaru was saying, so she asked him to give her pictures because she had read somewhere that cats communicate in pictures. One day she had a picture of Subaru pulling something black from my heel, like a pair of long johns. At that particular point, I had been doing a lot of clearing, so it made perfect ( or should I say purrfect) sense to me.
I have also learned it is a cat’s purpose to absorb negative energy. I heard a woman in the radian tell about about a cat whose owner was sick, so the cat was circling around on top the bed. There was also a little kitten who was trying to do the same thing, but the other cat kept pushing the kitten away. The woman was someone who talks to animals – I told you it sounds woo woo – and she asked the first cat why she kept pushing the kitten away. The cat told her :”The kitten is too young and doesn’t know what she is doing, she is getting in my way”.
Kathie lives on a small lake and Subaru likes to sit outside and watch goes on. One day there was snow and he had a ball playing in it. He is an indoor cat but seems to enjoy a little outdoors once in a while. I enjoy visiting her, it is so calm and peaceful with her. I know Subaru is around somewhere, even if he doesn’t show himself. At times Kathie has had to consult a woman here who talks to animals to see what is bothering Subaru. He started biting her and it turns out he was feeling he had no place to himself because of the remodeling in the condo. Kathie was feeling it too because she felt there was such an upheaval and it was taking a lot longer than she realized. I think it is finally done and they both are able to relax into their peaceful environment again.
Kathie has been a hypnotist for many years and has helped me with several things. Now she has gone on to a different business that is entirely different. I haven’t seen her for quite a while because I have been sick, doing stuff for Mom, etc. while she has been setting up her new business and traveling. I am hoping we will finally meet for tea again when she returns. I don’t think Subaru is too happy about being left alone with someone only coming in to feed him and clean his box. I wonder what kind of a welcome she will have from him when she arrives home.
